Bot infrastructure

You should run the bot 24/7 on a VPS

Running the bot on your personal machine is handy for testing, but if you want it running continuously without interruption — even when your machine is off, the power goes out, or your home network is unstable — a dedicated Windows VPS is the better choice: high uptime, low latency to the broker's servers, and no resource contention with other software on your machine.

01

Sign up for a Windows VPS

Create a VPS account (Vultr recommended) and choose a Windows Server plan — 2 vCPU / 4GB RAM is enough to run a few lightweight bots reliably.

02

Install MT5 + the bot app on the VPS

Remote Desktop into the VPS, install MetaTrader 5 and the Windows app just like on a personal machine, and log in to the MT5 terminal as usual.

03

Run the bot 24/7, no need to keep your home PC on

The bot runs continuously on the VPS with a stable connection and low latency to the broker's server — independent of whether your personal computer is powered on.

Recommended provider: Vultr
